Almost always building work:

  • Indoor units added during a fit-out without confirming the outdoor unit can support them

  • Settings entered incorrectly at commissioning or after a board replacement
  • Incompatible equipment combined where the pairing is not supported

The pattern we see most: a floor is refurbished, cassette count increases, nobody checks the outdoor unit, and the code appears the following summer.

How urgent is it?

Less urgent than a protection fault, but it does not resolve itself and it has real consequences.

Nothing is being damaged immediately. But if the system is genuinely oversubscribed, the outdoor unit runs at or beyond its limit whenever demand is high. That means:
